Is Cersei's New Neckpiece Hinting At Her Death?

Eagled-eyed Game of Thrones fans have found a connection between newly released promotional art of Cersei Lannister sporting a neckpiece with her famed prophecy from the season five premiere which might hint to future events.

In that episode, Maggy the Frog tells a young Cersei a litany of things about her future, which turned into an obsession for Cersei.

She told Cersei she would not marry the prince, but the King. This turned out to be true as she would marry Robert Baratheon.

She told Cersei that someone younger and more beautiful would supplant her as Queen, and take all she holds dear. Margaery Tyrell later replaced Cersei as Queen.

Tyrell married Cersei’s son, the young King Tommen and turned him against his mother. Tommen would later kill himself leaving all three of Cersei’s children dead.

The prophecy on the show ended there but the prophecy in the books went on a bit longer.

In A Feast For Crows, Maggy tells Cersei, “When your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you.”

“Valonqar” means brother in Valyrian. So this has fueled speculation that perhaps Tyrion or more likely Jaime would end up choking her to death.

Jaime Lannister is infamously referred to as the “Kingslayer” for murdering the mad King Targaeryan. So will he have to live up to his title again but kill a queen this time?

These fans believe that the neckpiece found in the promotional art is an easter egg referring to this excerpt in the book, possibly hinting towards Cersei’s demise in season seven.
