What to Expect from Season 3 of Legends of Tomorrow

** Warning: Spoilers Ahead **

So one question that we've all had since that doozy of a finale is:

What the heck is going to happen next season?

We left the Legends without Rip, and stuck in the middle of Los Angeles, but not the LA we know. An LA stuck in a time storm filled with dinosaurs and futuristic buildings.

So where does that leave the Legends? And what new things (AKA characters) might be rumored to show up?

Let's break things down:

Rip isn't gone for good

Fear not, our faithful now former leader of the Legends will not be gone for good.

"We've got plans for Rip for next year." Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly Radio on Thursday. "It's just in a different capacity than him being another member of the team."

This plot will not affect the other shows in the Arrowverse

If you were worried that The Flash is going to have to deal with dinosaurs, don't be.

Guggenheim told us in his own twisted sense of answering questions that that won't happen.

"We never want to make television feel like a homework assignment." he spoke. "That said... there will be an explanation in Season 3 as to why you're not seeing dinosaurs run through Central City."

There is a host of characters who could show up

So the first problem the Legends have to face in Season 3 is how to fix the timeline that they've broken, and it looks like they are going to need to find another unknown DC object, just like the Spear of Destiny.

One theory that seems to be a pretty solid one is the possibility of Kamandi.

Kamandi is a Jack Kirby creation set in a post-apocalyptic future that was the result of something called the Great Disaster.

Kamandi is a teenager, and a lone survivor of a bunker. He emerges to find that the world has been divided up into different zones, and each one is ruled by a different evolved animal.

(Basically Kirby's version of Planet of The Apes)

Guggenheim has even revealed that he and the writers' have definitely thought of Kamandi.

"We have talked about Kamandi in the writers’ room. He’s definitely a character that we love and a concept that we love.

Certainly, we’ve opened the door for that kind of story. I can’t say that we’re absolutely committed to doing Kamandi next year, it’s just totally on the table and certainly something we’ve been talking about."

However, the season starting out in LA brings another character to mind: Green Lantern: Mosaic

Even though it is highly unlikely because of all Green Lanterns currently being earmarked by DCEU for feature films, this doesn't rule out the idea of the Legends doing their own spin on a Mosaic Los Angeles.

We know for a fact that the entire Legends series was created to have characters come and go, so it is more than likely that we will see someone new come in this season.

And we all know that Guggenheim and fellow Executive Producer Phil Klemmer love pulling some out there DC characters and throwing them into the mix.

So if you thought you knew what might happen in Season 3, I would maybe think again. The great thing about Legends is that they like to do their own thing.

All I want is for them to finally get a vacation in Aruba. Is that too much to ask?

I'm about as basic as they come. If I'm not drinking Starbucks, then I'm probably drinking wine. If I'm not out shopping, I'm probably playing with my dog.
