Google releases Android 7.1.2 Nougat beta 2, includes new Nexus 6P feature

Google on Monday began rolling out Android 7.1.2 beta 2 to developers, which is available for Pixel and Nexus devices.

The wording is slightly different compared to what Nexus 6P users are seeing: This update will install a beta version of Android Nougat 7.1.2 (NPG47I) on your Pixel. New features include app shortcuts, image keyboard support, and more. This pre-release version may contain errors and defects that can affect normal functioning of your device. To learn more about the Android Beta Program or opt out, visit Downloading updates over cellular data or metered Wi-Fi networks may lead to additional charges. Apparently, the new beta adds fingerprint swipe gestures to the Nexus 6P, which has been an oft-requested feature.
