Police Alleged Link 'Thousands' Of Child Porn Videos To SFO Employee
Anton Orobchenko's booking photo: SFPD According to the San Francisco Police Department, their Internet Crimes Against Children Unit launched an investigation into "an individual who was uploading and trading graphic child pornography through the internet" in July of this year.
They traced that activity, they say, to a residence on the 1300 block of Turk Street, which is located between Fillmore and Webster Streets. On August 3 SFPD investigators executed a search warrant at that address, where they say they "located numerous media devices belonging to one of the residents." That man, 32-year-old SF resident Anton Orobchenko, had "thousands of child pornography videos and images" on media devices he owned, police say. Orobchenko was arrested on the scene, according to the SFPD, and faces charges of possession of child pornography, possession of over 600 files of child pornography, possession of child pornography involving sado-masochism, and two counts of distribution of child pornography. According to Bay City News, "a Facebook page that appears to belong to Orobchenko describes his job as being a traffic coordinator at San Francisco International Airport." A spokesperson with the San Francisco Sheriff's Department confirmed Friday morning that Orobchenko remains in custody at San Francisco County Jail. Police say that though an arrest has been made, the investigation continues.
