Wonder Woman Sequel Date To Be Revealed At Comic-Con
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. will announce the planned date for the sequel to Wonder Woman during their San Diego Comic-Con panel this Saturday.
There have been many rumblings and premature announcements regarding this film lately but it's all but guaranteed.
Patty Jenkins is working on a treatment with Geoff Johns and will be back to direct.
There have been rumors that the film will be set in the 1980s around the Cold War with Chris Pine returning in some form.
It will be nice to finally know for sure. And this disproves the Warner Bros. press release that the DC panel would only focus on Justice League and Aquaman as the slate should be updated and revised.
Wonder Woman was and continues to be a box office smash. It has earned an incredible domestic box-office gross of $380 million and counting, surpassing Batman v. Superman by over $50 million.
It is the first universally beloved movie in the DCEU and the first majorly successful female superhero film.
WW2 should no doubt be a top priority for DC as they now have another marquee hero on film they can pair alongside Batman and Superman.
The Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con is this Saturday, July 22nd.
If you want, you can read my predictions of what DC will show. Or don't. It's up to you.
(I'm hoping for a Flash director and an official announcement of The Batman.)
