Doug Liman Elaborates On Why He Decided Against Directing JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK
It was three months ago that Doug Liman decided to walk away from Justice League Dark and the movie still has no director.
Considering the fact it was mentioned by Warner Bros. at Comic-Con, it's clearly still a priority for them and will no doubt be released at some point in the near future. Liman's decision to walk away was still a shame, though, but why exactly wasn't the DC Comics movie for him? Well, it doesn't sound like creative differences can be blamed this time! Instead, it seems to boil down to the fact that he was never really that close to the project and simply couldn't get the story right. "You know, I develop more movies than I make," The Edge of Tomorrow helmer explains. "There’s a weed-out process, and it’s just that when you get to the comic book one, suddenly everybody hears about them. So, the script never got to a place that was special enough for me.
