Police in Fairfax and Loudoun counties were searching Sunday for a teenager who reportedly was assaulted and went missing overnight after leaving a religious institution in the area, authorities said.
Loudoun County Sheriff spokeswoman Deputy Aleksandra Kowalski said a group of youths had gone to Town Center Plaza, in the 1100 block of Dranesville Road in Herndon, after leaving an unspecified religious institution. While they were walking back, Kowalski said, one of the youths was reported to have been assaulted and went missing.
