Dallas Cowboys Will Win the NFC East this Season
As the 2017-18 NFL season approaches, the Dallas Cowboys are one of, if not the biggest topics in the offseason.
Questions such as: “Will Dak Prescott have a sophomore slump?” “Will Jaylon Smith be ready in time for the season?” and “Will the Cowboys defense be enough to handle elite QB’s they have to play this year?” So many questions, but so little answers.
One thing we do know though is that Jaylon Smith will most likely be ready for the season as he stated that himself a couple months ago. Dak Prescott also most likely won’t have a sophomore slump. He’s always working hard every day to get better and better, and has even said that this year he has improved all of his combine numbers.
The Cowboys have a top 5 offense heading into next season. Their secondary, however, which they basically completely replaced with rookies, will most likely struggle the first year. Especially against elite receiving corpses like the New York Giants in Odell Beckham, Brandon Marshall, and Sterling Shepard.
At least during this season, the Dallas Cowboys will have to kill the clock with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. Run the ball and wear out your opponents. As Zeke has said, he tries to, “break their will”.
The Cowboys have a top 5 offense that can score on any defense. It doesn’t matter who’s on that defense. Why? Because the Cowboys have arguably the greatest offensive line in NFL History. That’s insane. If Dak Prescott has actually corrected his footwork when under pressure and learns to look at all his reads, they will be unstoppable.
Now with the addition of Ryan Switzer (who will hopefully replace Lucky Whitehead), the Cowboys will line Cole Beasley and Switzer on the outside or inside together and that will be extremely hard to cover whoever you may be. Especially with Dez Bryant.
I predict the Cowboys to get 11-5, winning the NFC East. Hopefully they will actually win a playoff game. As long as the Cowboys have Zeke, Dak, and Dez, they will be unstoppable for years to come. Let’s go get that ring. Go Cowboys!
