Who hasn't wished for a witty, interactive Game of Thrones encyclopedia at one point in their lives? (Don't lie. I know you have.)
As Season 7 nears, fans struggle to accurately remember deaths, resurrections, and family trees introduced throughout the series.
Rather than doing your own research, why not take a stab at GoTBot (not literally, please), a Game of Thrones chatbot created by London-based company Catch.
The chatbot operates through Facebook messenger, and acts as an interactive encyclopedia of the show that also sends you memes and and quirky comments. If that didn't convince you, then goddamn, you're stubborn.
Whether it be general questions about the series, some easily-forgettable fact, or you just want to hear a GoT joke, this chatbot is able to fulfill your every need.
Catch really has a thing for Jon Snow.
The chatbot began as a game of "dead or alive" among the creators, but has since transformed into a comprehensive "ask and thou shalt receive" for anything Game of Thrones related.
The bot will answer your questions about important (and unimportant) houses, actors, characters, names, animals (including dragons, of course), and anything else that has been confirmed by the show.
(Note: Emphasis on the word confirmed. Asking a question about Cleganebowl resulted in a "tough one, I don't know how to answer that," and a suggestion that I listen to Ed Sheeran's latest song.)
I decided to test out asking the bot actual facts rather than just pictures of Jon Snow (not that I don't love seeing pictures of Jon Snow).
After immediately sending me a bio of Arya Stark, the bot told me that if I had no more questions, I should know that it's there whenever I feel lonely.
