Who is Most Likely Going to Die this Season?

Beware, this article is dark and full of spoilers.

Sunday’s episode was a great one, and its final scene was particularly intense. Even if the Sandsnakes’ fans now lament the death of both Nymeria and Obara Sand at the hands of blood thirsty Euron Greyjoy, we can find comfort in the fact that no main character has died during the first two episodes of this long awaited season 7.

Now, it’s just a matter of time before the Grim Reaper strikes one of our favorite characters, and we know that it will likely happen sooner rather than later. Here is a list of 5 important characters who are most likely to die in the next few episodes.

Brace yourselves, not everyone will be able to say "not today" to the God of Death.

Ellaria Sand

Her current situation doesn’t leave much hope. She has lost her two step-daughters, and she is being held captive by their fierce murderer.

We can easily guess that Ellaria will be the "gift" that Euron Greyjoy will deliver to Cersei to secure an alliance, and with next episode’s title being "The Queen’s Justice", we can assume that late Oberyn’s lover will meet her fate and be executed by Cersei, who will be more than glad to be able to kill the woman who poisoned her innocent daughter Myrcella.

How it might happen:

Ellaria’s death is unlikely to be a quick one as Cersei has indeed proven that she likes revenges of harsh type (let’s remember how Septa Unella’s life ended).

The Dornish viper (and probably her daughter too) may be subjected to their own walk of shame in King's Landing until they die of exhaustion, tortured by Gregor Clegane, or even kept jailed until they starve.

However, Cersei might have her cruel revenge in a different way: She could have Tyene killed in front of her mother’s eyes, and then keep Ellaria alive for some time to make her feel the pain of losing a daughter. An eye for an eye is coherent with Cersei’s style.

Yara Greyjoy

As much as it pains me to write this, Yara is definitely part of our list for obvious reasons. She is now Euron’s prisoner as well, and she will be part of the game changing trip to King's Landing, likely to meet her fate.

She chose to join Daenerys’ army and is hence Cersei’s enemy, and we know all too well how the current Queen of the Seven Kingdoms deals with her enemies.

How it might happen:

Whatever mode of execution Cersei choses for Ellaria will probably be used for Yara too in order to make an example. Or the Queen could let Euron choose how to kill his niece (he has expressed the desire to kill Theon and Yara himself in the first episode), and in this case a gruesome death is to be expected.

Littlefinger

With Arya on her way back to Winterfell, Petyr Baelish seems to be in for some serious trouble. He is indeed part of the badass Stark girl’s list.

Arya knows that he betrayed Ned, and will certainly enthusiastically seek revenge against him. We can also remember that Sansa is currently in charge of the North, so with Arya back home, there will be two powerful women with him, and both were present to see their father being executed.

How it might happen:

Probably a traditional beheading, Northerner style. With Sansa swinging the blade herself to follow her late father’s principles. Another possibility involves Arya’s Needle and its pointy end.

Grey Worm

In Westeros, beautiful and promising romances come to a premature end more often than not, and I’m afraid that Missandei and Grey Worm’s story will be no exception.

With the upcoming battle to try and take Casterly Rock, we can imagine the type of risks that the bold immaculate will face.

How it might happen:

Certainly during a powerful battle scene that will show us Grey Worm’s bravery one last time before he gets killed by Randyll or Dickon Tarly. We can also imagine Jaime Lannister being the one to end the young soldier’s life.

Euron Greyjoy

This one would be a little bit more surprising at this point, but with the Lannister siblings unpredictable nature, it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Cersei has already expressed quite clearly that she wasn’t interested in Euron ’s marriage proposal.

Even if the Ironborn King brings her the present he promised and wins a few more battles, it may just be a matter of time before Euron gets killed.

How it might happen:

Cersei could choose to poison him after using him and his fleet to her advantage for some time. Jaime could also get irritated by Euron ’s arrogance (or get jealous) and kill him.
