You Can Now Learn How To Speak Dothraki In College
Game of Thrones fans and language lovers can now come together in a U.C. Berkeley classroom to learn Dothraki. The best part about it? It's being taught by David J. Peterson, the man who created the language.
The University announced that the offering will take place in the summer.
"Peterson’s students will be asked to put themselves in the mind of the speakers of a new language,"
The university said in the announcement, adding that the class will focus more on "linguistic details" than the fictional side of Game of Thrones.
It should be noted that Peterson is the creator of High Valyrian which is also used in the show. Besides Game of Thrones, he has created languages for Penny Dreadful, Thor: The Dark World and Defiance.
If going all the way to U.C Berkeley isn't an option, there's a Dothraki language course on Amazon for $12.99.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO for it's 7th season on July 16, 2017.
