A Jon Snow And Cersei Hookup Could Be In The Future
Jon Snow has died and come back to life, and is still pretty much considered the hottest male lead in Game of Thrones. As we inch closer and closer to the air date of Season 7, three women seem to be in the running for Jon's heart - Sansa Stark, whiney-daughter-of-the-North-turned-badass-bitch; Daenerys Targaryen, everyone's favorite Mother of Dragons; and the unlikely, but still possible, Cersei Lannister.
Jon is probably too good of a person to stoop to Cersei's level. But there are actually some good reasons for the two to hookup.
Firstly, there's no doubt that the combined power of Jon's Northern forces and the armies of King's Landing would be essentially unbeatable. Although the Starks and the Lannister's have had their disagreements, the two families used to have a pretty strong hold on the kingdom. Who's to say it won't happen again?
This would benefit both Jon and Cersei for obvious reasons, but it could also be Cersei's last chance at retaining power now that all of her children are dead and the prophecy seems to be coming to fruition.
In fact, according to Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the actor of Jaime Lannister, there's a strong possibility that Cersei's love life could be looking up.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, Coster-Waldau stated:
"[Jaime] is not like his sister and brother, but he's been on the battlefield his whole life and knows about people's weaknesses and loving someone unconditionally - because he loves his sister unconditionally. Plus, there are no other suitors. Well, that's not true [...] Wow, I was about to reveal something from Season seven and thought, 'What am I doing?'"
It seems that Coster-Waldau isn't the only one dropping hints; Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) was asked in an interview with Heat Magazine which Game of Thrones character he would marry, and his answer might have revealed more than he'd hoped:
"Marry Daenerys. No, actually I wouldn't. No. Marry...ummm...marry Cersei. I would let people think that one through."
Maybe we're thinking it through a little too hard, but it could be a hint of what's to come. Harrington even went so far as to mention that he would then kill Jaime after marrying his sister.
Of course, there's always the other side of the coin; far more fans are speculating that Jon Snow will actually be the "Little Brother" who kills Cersei, a theory that seems to be at least a little more likely.
But who knows, Cersei's luck may just be looking up.
