Sony is trying to make a major push for PSVR in Japan by making it more available and supporting it with more compelling software.
Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia released a new trailer showcasing upcoming PSVR games.
They are increasing the number of stores carrying the headset from 232 to 294, along with online retailers. They will also provide demo units in over 100 stores across the country.
The trailer features a multitude of different games, both released and upcoming, which mainly targets a Japanese audience. (obviously)
Some of the games shown are Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 7, Summer Lesson: Alison Snow Garden of Seven Days, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Gran Turismo Sport, Farpoint and more.
PSVR is one of the best-selling virtual reality headsets around due to its lower price point and compatibility with Playstation 4 games.
Japan as a video-game market has trended toward handheld and mobile devices lately so Sony's attempt to get a stranglehold on virtual reality might be a clever play.
