It's Ridiculous How Good Batman Rebirth Is So Far
Credit: DC Comics
Just finished Batman #24 and wow. Very powerful issue that continues the high-quality run of King-Finch. Unfortunately, Finch only draws about half of this issue as I later found out, the credits were very misleading. I wish he had done the whole thing because it was an issue that deserved to not have two separate teams take it on.
The difference is not very noticeable, at first. The pages that are drawn by Finch are impeccable as usual and King soars here, really showing how well he understands the character, and even the issue's writing as a whole is enthralling. Amazing, because there is really no action in the issue, just dialogue.
Just another great issue in this run, even if The Button arc was a letdown (let's hope it doesn't stay that way), these guys know what they're doing. I was made especially aware of this after Batman #20 which a friend bought me and ended up being one of the best single issues I have read.
The issue ends with a cliffhanger. An extremely surprising one at that.
Batman proposes to Catwoman.
