A Breakdown of DC’s New Wonder Woman Statues & More
Whether or not you enjoy filling up the shelves of your man cave or office with 6 inch plastic replicas of your favorite characters or you love the detailed artistry of their statue lines, DC Collectibles has got you covered! Here are ALL items coming to retail this month!
With the upcoming Wonder Woman just under a month away, it was safe to assume they would be marketing heavily on behalf of the film. With that in mind, DC Collectibles is rolling out three amazing statues of Wonder Woman.
The first features the Amazonian princess on horseback, sword in hand ready to defeat anyone or anything she comes across on the battle field. The attention to detail on this piece is amazing, considering how the even including the dust under the horse as it rides valiantly into battle.
This detailed statue sits atop a base with the Wonder Woman symbol going all around. This piece, sculpted by James Marsano, will be retailing at $350 and stands at 17.55’’ tall.
The next piece, also sculpted by James Marsano, features Wonder Woman in her training outfit on Themyscira.
This outfit was seen in the trailers released thus far and seems to have been designed to remind the viewer that she is both powerful and beautiful. Her braided hair compliments the braided Lasso of Truth she holds in this statue.
FUN FACT: William Moulton Marston, Wonder Woman’s creator, was also the inventor of the Polygraph, which is why Wonder Woman’s Lasso makes people tell the truth.
Approximately 13” tall, this piece is standing on the Wonder Woman insignia itself rather than a base and will run you $150 but is well worth it for any fan of Wonder Woman.
The third statue is again sculpted by Marsano but with help from Alterton. This one features Wonder Woman with her first love interest, Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine in the film.
In this one Princess Diana holds a short sword in one hand and her iconic shield in the other. Whether or not you want to wait for the film to see how much chemistry Pine and Gadot have, one would hope that at $275, this statue is a good representation of the on-screen action.
The next set really hits the ball right out the park. Not only is DC adding to its amazing Animated Series line but it is giving us a 5-pack featuring Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Livewire, Poison Ivy and Supergirl!
Each figure is just under 6” and with an $80 price tag, it’s hard NOT to buy this pack!
DC Collectibles is dishing out more than statues. May is also bringing with it another wave the DC TV series line. From the Arrowverse, we are getting 6” scale plastic versions of Constantine and Vixen. Both characters are spinoff characters at this point after Constantine’s cancelation.
Vixen, however, crossed over from the animated universe and appeared on the show. The price for these figures is $28 each and if you’ve been collecting this line so far, are both must haves!
