Is Reverse-Flash Hinted At In The Justice League Trailer?

655 Reads

** Warning Spoilers Ahead **

So in the midst of the insane Justice League trailer that was dropped on us last Saturday, no fan knew what to focus on first.

But in order to catch this slight plot hint, you really need to be paying attention to the trailer:

Did you see it? If you didn't, let me break it down for you.

Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is seen sitting at a prisoner's visiting center, with Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) on the other side.

One can only assume that this means that Henry Allen is serving time in prison in the DCEU, just like he is in the television show on the CW.

Which can only lead to the question: Is Zach Snyder following in the CW's footsteps by sticking to The Flash's origin story?

For those of you who aren't familiar with The Flash's origin story or don't wash the CW show, Henry Allen is serving time after being accused of murdering Barry's mother, Nora.

As a little boy, Barry looked on as his mother died of mysterious knife wounds with the blade inexplicably found in his father’s hands. Turns out, Henry was falsely accused and Nora's true killer is revealed as Professor Zoom, or the Reverse Flash.

The Reverse-Flash, who also happens to be Barry's arch nemesis.

So why is Henry already in jail in DCEU? Has the Reverse Flash already killed Nora?

It's safe to assume that Henry already being in jail means at the least, Reverse-Flash will be born and will eventually travel backwards through time to kill Nora Allen, landing Henry in prison from the start.

Now before everyone starts making judgements, this does not mean that the Reverse-Flash is guaranteed to make an appearance in Justice League. It could also mean that they are setting up for the solo Flash movie that is set to be going under yet another script re-write.

It does not seem likely that the Reverse-Flash will make an appearance, what with the film's already crowded plot and cast, but only time will tell.

What do you think? Do you think the Reverse-Flash make an appearance in the Justice League or is this just a ploy to set up the solo Flash movie? Let us know in the comments!
